Credit Financial Services was incorporated in 1906 as a Merchant’s Association. It was basically a credit bureau and collections agency for the exclusive use of merchant members. In 1987, the Durham Merchant’s Association sold the agency to Wayne Campbell and used the proceeds to establish the Durham Merchant’s Association Charitable Foundation.

Since being taken over by Campbell, Credit Financial Services has continued to grow and turned 100 years old in 2006. We offer a variety of services from our headquarters (still in Durham, North Carolina!) and are always ready to update our technology and resources with the changing times. Our state-of-the-art equipment and local/national affiliations give us a wide range of capabilities, but it us our highly trained staff’s work ethic and professionalism that make the biggest difference to our clients.
